A classic, the STAR 556 'LCR' is a weapon from the previous incarnation of All Points Bulletin. With a low cyclic rate but exceptional accuracy and low recoil, the LCR is great for picking off targets at range whilst also providing covering fire in group play. The Somatic Tactical Assault Rifle ‘Low Cyclic Rate’ is specifically designed to cater to the more discerning marksman who values accuracy over rate of fire.

Despite this weapon bearing similarity to the STAR, from which they share the same frame, this weapon should not be confused with the STAR, nor should it be treated as an assault rifle. Think of this, then, as a full-auto Obeya CR762 with no recoil or bloom, but less damage and accuracy. It is very easy to use and can fight at many ranges, it's time to kill is, however, still relatively high making it not optimal at closer ranges. It also allows for faster movement in marksman than the CR762. It's real strength however is the ease of use, just full-auto and get a kill. It kills very reliably but it is rather subpar at fighting against enemies with cover or move irregularly. In a team you might prefer the CR762 or OBIR for the higher overdamage, but if you are alone the ease of use and higher mobility of the LCR will serve you well.
