The N-SSW is a light Light Machine Gun, allowing for faster movement than the other models. It is similar to the N-TEC, but with reduced bloom, higher range, higher hard damage and faster recovery, while sacrificing accuracy, mobility and recoil. The increased recoil, especially the horizontal, makes it much harder to hit targets at range. The lower mobility isn't a major issue, but can be decicive as it requires the user to switch to their secondary for full speed, making them more vulnerable to ambushes. While the accuracy might not be a major issue it definitely is when you have to tag enemies behind cover. Unlike the N-TECs slow damage dropoff, the N-SSW has a rather steep one, going from full damage to 30% in mere 5m.

It is recommended to use HS3 on a N-SSW, it's accuracy while running is already abysmal (it's even worse than the N-TECs) and the benefit from using HS3 is much more significant. It may be recommended to use MP3 as the 45 bullets in a mag are more than enough for most cases, but if the user wants to destroy a vehicle it each bullet counts. As red mods it is advised to use either IR3 for the additional range or HB2 for decreased TTK. While IR3 allows you to do full damage up to 72m, the N-SSW will not perform that well at the range, the full-auto accuracy decrease is rather minor, so it's still an option. HB2 on the other hand makes it possible to full-auto the weapon all the way up to 65m. It will lose some of it's AV performance and in a team the missing overdamage can be important, on top of that it can already be full-autoed to a fair degree without HB2 due to the low shot modifier cap. The fast-firing rate at range will also give the recoil recovery and the player less time to compensate the recoil. It depends on the users preferences which one of these is better suited.
