The Colby .45 AP is a close-midrange secondary. It servers similar roles as the Obeya FBW, being it's predecessor. It features higher damage, higher range and higher accuracy in marksman mode than it's more modern sibling. However it also has a much smaller magazine and a lot more recoil. The .45 AP is very useful for those who take careful aim, but will punish those who spray. It is a general purpose secondary and goes well with almost every weapon out there. It is, however, recommended to not use it while carrying close range weaponry. While the .45 APs range is impressive, the Colby RSA and ACT 44 got almost twice as much. Crouch for longer ranged shots and use cover to reload, it's fire rate is the same as the FBW so if you got the fire rythm for it down you will be able to fire the .45 AP too at it too, although it's not recommended. Taking careful aim is more important.

The Colby .45 AP is an old warhorse of a gun. It was the gun that the FBW was based on and, like its younger brother, has great killing potential and is very powerful even to medium ranges. Unlike its sibling, however, it doesn't have any of the modern comforts. It kicks like a mule and the larger caliber necessitates a smaller magazine. | Quite useful to have one around. The FBW will do the job well most of the time, but the .45 AP can prove worthy due to it's improved range and accuracy in marksman mode. It serves also better as a finisher, although it's still recommended to use the FBW as a CQC Primary replacement instead, as it produces more reliable results as a standalone CQC Weapon. |
