The ATAC is a mobile Assault Rifle (based off of the M16) that offers good accuracy even under sustained fire. It has relatively high recoil, but it stays constant and can be compensated easily. Unlike the other Assault Rifles it's initial accuracy is rather subpar and the recovery isn't great either making it unsuited for longer range combat. It has very fast movement speed while in Marksman and a low zoom. While Hunting Sight is great to allow for longer range full auto kills, it significantly decreases the accuracy while running and slightly increases the zoom in marksman. It depends on the user weither they choose to sacrifice some close range efficiency for range.
Red mods on the other hand are not optimal for this weapon, IR3 provides more range at the cost of full-auto accuracy, while the loss in accuracy isn't huge the effect of IR3 isn't either. Heavy barrel 1 gives your 2nd shot a minimal boost in accuracy and allows for very slightly faster tap-firing, but the effects are almost unnoticeable compared to the rather substantial effect it has on the over-damage. Cooling jacket kills your full-auto accuracy which is what the ATAC is for and grants you up to 7% fire interval decrease. It generally makes it worse since the shots missed via extra bloom are more than are fired because of the fire rate.
