The Nekrova Tactically Evolved Carbine (based on the AKS-47) may only do average damage per bullet, but thanks to its high rate of fire it can still inflict large amounts of damage very quickly. It also has a very long range for a weapon of this type provided the player is using controlled burst- or tap-firing methods, which makes the weapon very deadly at medium ranges (be aware however that the dropoff takes degrades it's capability very fast and it is easy to get outgunned by a Sniper or CR762/OBIR). When used at close range the player can afford a greater degree of sustained fire than usual, but the accuracy of this weapon does degrade very fast so the player will need to be almost point blank with their target for more lethal results. Additionally the N-TEC doesn't allow for much movement, making users easier targets, especially against close range weaponry. Because of the rate of fire and its respectable Hard Damage the player can even use the N-TEC on hard targets such as vehicles, however it does not shine in that regard and should only be used as a Fall-back AV gun, if your team cannot afford to have a dedicated one.
